Roundabout at dusk, Beckstone LED Paver Lights trace the inner ring

Roundabouts

  • Road Studs, LED Road Studs

Road Studs trace the curb, entry and exit at night.

The planning problem

Especially in newly constructed roundabouts, tire marks and chips on the curb of the inner circle bear witness to the numerous accidents involving even drivers familiar with the area. This is caused by the unexpected new traffic situation and by glare from the light islands that are usually located in front of pedestrian crossings.

Make the geometry legible at night.

Road Studs are set into the surface along the curb and the edges of the carriageway. They trace the inner circle, entry and exit, and are used in roundabouts and on traffic islands.

Solar variants need no grid connection, hardwired variants are supplied through a cable. The variant depends on power supply and load on site.

Example installation

Installation in three steps.

  1. Drill, clean and dry the hole

The hole is drilled at the defined location, cleared of drilling dust and fully dried with hot air.

  2. Insert alignment aid and adhesive

The alignment aid aligns the Road Stud. The adhesive is poured in, and the LEDs must be aligned correctly.

  3. Let it cure

Once the adhesive has cured, the alignment aid is removed. Curing time depends on the weather.
