Accessibility statement
JoBe Lighting makes light a means of orientation. This website should therefore work well for as many people as possible. Our website is aimed at businesses and public clients and does not conclude contracts with consumers, so the German Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG) does not apply to it. We publish this statement voluntarily.

Scope
This statement covers the website jobe-lighting.com, including the sections for Germany, international visitors and the United States.
- Not covered are downloadable PDF documents, such as data sheets and installation instructions.
- Not covered is content from external providers that we link to.
Standard
We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. That is our goal, not a guarantee.
State of conformance
By our own assessment the website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. We tested keyboard operation, contrast, scaling and reduced motion by hand and examined the pages with automated tools as well. We found no failures that are not named as a limitation below. Because some tests are still pending, we do not claim full conformance.
We provide the test protocol on request.
Known limitations
We know about these and are fixing them.
- Screen readers not tested yet. We have not yet tested operation with VoiceOver and NVDA. Until then we cannot confirm that the pages work well with screen readers throughout.
- Zoom and tab order. Nothing scrolls horizontally at 200 and 400 percent zoom. A visual check for clipped or overlapping content and a comparison of the tab order with the visual order are still pending.
- Sound and subtitles in films. The panorama on the bike lanes page has a soundtrack that starts only after a button press. All other films are silent. There is no subtitle track; if anyone speaks in the panorama, one would be needed. We are still checking this.
- Contrast over images. Navigation text over the photo and video at the top of a page cannot be fully tested automatically. The manual check is pending.
- PDF documents. We have not yet tested downloadable data sheets and installation instructions for accessibility.
Legibility of the typeface
Our text typeface is Atkinson Hyperlegible Next. The Braille Institute designed it so that letters stay distinguishable even with low vision. We chose it deliberately for legibility. Headlines are set in Barlow Condensed.
